Job Summary
Working remotely within Connecticut, the full-time Connecticut Referral Specialist will coordinate and manage patient referrals, serve as the main contact for new patient scheduling, and provide information on scheduling policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Oversees the coordination and scheduling of patient ambulatory referrals for the appropriate specialty
- Acts as the principal source of information for new patient referrals and scheduling for patients and referring providers
- Utilizes critical thinking to assess and direct patient interactions effectively
Required qualifications
- High school diploma with six years of related work experience, or an Associate's degree with four years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy phone volume and manage multiple tasks under time pressures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex patient information
- Competence in English language, grammar, and medical terminology
