Job Summary

Working remotely within Connecticut, the full-time Connecticut Referral Specialist will coordinate and manage patient referrals, serve as the main contact for new patient scheduling, and provide information on scheduling policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversees the coordination and scheduling of patient ambulatory referrals for the appropriate specialty
  • Acts as the principal source of information for new patient referrals and scheduling for patients and referring providers
  • Utilizes critical thinking to assess and direct patient interactions effectively
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma with six years of related work experience, or an Associate's degree with four years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice
  • Demonstrated ability to handle heavy phone volume and manage multiple tasks under time pressures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex patient information
  • Competence in English language, grammar, and medical terminology
