Construction Underwriter

Job Summary

Construction Underwriter, a full-time remote position responsible for evaluating loan applications, ensuring compliance with investor standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize loan approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications for risk, accuracy, and compliance with investor requirements
• Review construction-related documents and assess new loan files for processing
• Communicate with Loan Originators and other stakeholders to support loan decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
• 2+ years of Construction Lending Underwriting experience
• 5+ years of Mortgage Underwriting experience with knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional guidelines
• DE, SAR, and LAPP certifications required; USDA experience is a plus
• Proficient in Encompass LOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
