Construction Underwriter

Job Summary

Managing a book of profitable Construction business, the full-time Program Underwriter-Construction will underwrite General Liability and Excess Liability insurance policies, analyze risks, and maintain producer relationships, with the option to work remotely in the Greater NY or NJ area while attending meetings in the Red Bank, NJ office.

Key responsibilities:

• Underwrite construction business and evaluate new and renewal applications within underwriting guidelines
• Communicate effectively with agents, brokers, and internal teams to quote rates and service accounts
• Market and negotiate with brokers and insurance companies to enhance relationships and production opportunities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• Three or more years of construction-related underwriting experience, particularly with General Liability
• Proven ability to build relationships with agencies and carriers
