Job Summary
Managing technical underwriting and account management for large account construction casualty programs, the full-time salaried Construction Underwriting AVP will assess risks, coordinate post-bind activities, and develop relationships with producers while working in a hybrid or remote environment from St. Paul, Chicago, or Kansas City.
Key responsibilities
- Solicits and reviews account information to evaluate risks and structures appropriate loss sensitive programs
- Coordinates post-bind activities, ensuring compliance and managing renewals to achieve retention and price change goals
- Develops strategic relationships with producers and insureds to meet production and profitability objectives
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of underwriting experience or experience in the construction industry
- Thorough understanding of Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile coverage forms
- Knowledge of loss sensitive programs, pricing, and actuarial loss projecting techniques
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required
- CPCU or similar designation is a plus
