Consultant Copyeditor

Job Summary

Seeking meticulous consultant copyeditors, this fully remote 1099 contractor role will manage the editing and proofreading of nearly 23,000 pages of content across various formats while adhering to strict style and brand guidelines from August 12 to November 12, 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and proofread documents in Google Docs and Microsoft Word for clarity, accuracy, and grammar
• Ensure adherence to established style and branding guidelines across all edited content
• Collaborate with project managers and content creators while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines

Required qualifications

• Excellent understanding of grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style
• Deep professional knowledge of CMOS
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Docs, including RegEx usage
• At least 2-3 years of experience in copyediting within a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, education, or a relevant field
