Job Summary
To support the development and presentation of a research paper on delivering justice for sexual offences survivors in Sierra Leone, a remote contract Consultant for Justice Research Paper will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Family Support Unit and Model Sexual Offences Courts, focusing on barriers to justice and incorporating comparative perspectives from other regions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct a focused desk review and analysis of the Family Support Unit and Model Sexual Offences Courts in specified districts
- Provide a comparative analysis of successful models from Africa and South-South regions, highlighting systemic gaps and recommendations
- Deliver a final paper and presentation for a high-level convening on 7th October 2026, incorporating feedback from stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Significant judicial or prosecutorial experience in sexual offences matters, particularly in the relevant districts
- Strong analytical and writing skills with a proven track record of policy papers or judgments
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to survivor-centred and trauma-informed justice
