Job Summary
To support a survivor-centered documentation study, the part-time Consultant for SGBV Survivor Interviews will conduct ethical and trauma-informed interviews with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in Sierra Leone, collaborating with local partners, and producing a comprehensive report to amplify survivor voices.
Key responsibilities
- Develop interview tools and methodology in consultation with local partners
- Conduct a minimum of 20-30 confidential interviews with survivors across specified districts
- Draft and finalize a report including survivor narratives, key themes, and actionable recommendations
Required qualifications
- Demonstrated experience conducting ethical, trauma-informed interviews with SGBV survivors, particularly children
- Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and Do No Harm principles
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a portfolio of similar survivor reports or human rights documentation
- Deep knowledge of the Sierra Leone context, particularly regarding SGBV and the justice system
- Fluency in English and Krio, with additional local languages as an advantage
