Job Summary
To support literacy initiatives in Central Appalachia, the part-time Consultant - Partner Landscape Analysis will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the region's literacy ecosystem, identifying stakeholders and opportunities for collaboration while working remotely from September to December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a landscape scan of the literacy ecosystem using various research methods and publicly available resources
- Map organizations and initiatives that support early childhood literacy and assess potential partners for collaboration
- Develop a comprehensive report with findings, strategic recommendations, and a prioritized list of organizations for future engagement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, public policy, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of the literacy landscape and education systems in Central Appalachia
- Proven experience conducting landscape analyses and qualitative research
- Strong understanding of early literacy and related educational initiatives
- Ability to synthesize information into clear, actionable reports and recommendations
