Job Summary

To support literacy initiatives in Central Appalachia, the part-time Consultant - Partner Landscape Analysis will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the region's literacy ecosystem, identifying stakeholders and opportunities for collaboration while working remotely from September to December 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a landscape scan of the literacy ecosystem using various research methods and publicly available resources
  • Map organizations and initiatives that support early childhood literacy and assess potential partners for collaboration
  • Develop a comprehensive report with findings, strategic recommendations, and a prioritized list of organizations for future engagement
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, public policy, nonprofit management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the literacy landscape and education systems in Central Appalachia
  • Proven experience conducting landscape analyses and qualitative research
  • Strong understanding of early literacy and related educational initiatives
  • Ability to synthesize information into clear, actionable reports and recommendations
