Consultant with Disability Expertise

Job Summary

Providing specialized disability-related information and referral services, the full-time remote Consultant with Disability Expertise will assist individuals with disabilities and rehabilitation professionals, manage inquiries, and support training initiatives within the Job Accommodation Network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct consulting services to customers, including responding to inquiries and processing accommodation requests
• Assist in the development and maintenance of resource databases and training programs tailored to customer needs
• Conduct research and outreach efforts to enhance collaboration with leaders in the field of disability and employment

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act
• Experience in providing information about disability-related legislation and assistive technologies
• Proficiency in using database systems, email, and internet searching
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of various education levels both verbally and in writing
