Consulting Controller

Job Summary

Managing the accounting functions for various clients, the part-time Consulting Controller will own the monthly close process, oversee day-to-day operations including AP/AR and payroll, and maintain internal controls while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process and prepare accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and reconciliations
• Support accounting system implementation, optimization, and documentation of procedures

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of Controller experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition and accrual-based accounting
• Experience preparing or supporting financial statements, reconciliations, and audit requests
• Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Xero)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
