Consumer Access Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance patient financial services, the full-time remote Consumer Access Specialist will perform Medicare compliance reviews, create patient financial estimates, and coordinate with insurance companies for eligibility verification and pre-authorizations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed
• Register patients for services, ensuring accurate demographic information and minimizing duplication of medical records
• Manage communication between clinical and consumer access departments to improve the patient experience

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred
• 1+ years of relevant healthcare experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance benefits
• Certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) preferred
