Consumer Lending Specialist

Job Summary

Identifying optimal lending solutions, the full-time remote Consumer Lending Specialist will guide members through the loan application process, analyze credit reports, underwrite consumer loans, and proactively communicate loan status while achieving sales goals.

Key responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants to assess needs and assist in completing loan applications
• Evaluate credit reports, income, and collateral to determine loan eligibility and approval
• Proactively communicate with members regarding loan status and cross-sell additional credit union products

Required qualifications

• 1+ year of prior lending experience
• Experience in selling ancillary products and identifying cross-selling opportunities
• Prior work experience within a financial institution, such as a bank or credit union
• Demonstrated success in sales and customer service
• Proficiency with mainframe and PC software, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Word
