Consumer Loan Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Consumer Loan Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications for quality and accuracy, making decisions based on credit history and client guidelines
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of loan applications processed by Contact Center Representatives
• Provide support and training to Contact Center representatives regarding lending questions and new technology

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
• 1 year of experience as a Lending Underwriter required
• 1 year of experience in a loan Contact Center position preferred
• Knowledge of Lending Underwriting best practices and loan application processing
• Familiarity with direct and indirect lending processes
