Job Summary

Providing essential support for patient inquiries, the full-time Contact Center Specialist will manage scheduling, registration, and billing questions in a remote capacity, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction during daylight hours, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities:
  • Answer multi-line telephone calls, focusing on patient satisfaction and first call resolution while accurately scheduling appointments
  • Act as a patient advocate by providing guidance on registration, billing, and claims inquiries, and ensuring data integrity in the patient records
  • Research and resolve billing inquiries, establish payment plans, and assist patients with access issues for their MyUPMC accounts
Required qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of general customer service or call center experience
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems
  • Previous health insurance experience preferred
