Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time remote Contact Center Specialist will manage incoming calls regarding patient medical bills, insurance inquiries, and payment arrangements while utilizing multiple internal systems to assist with billing needs.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and troubleshoot billing inquiries, explaining benefits coverages and course of action
- Document and close issues accurately while collaborating with internal departments on insurance denials and payment research
- Perform special projects and other assigned duties as needed
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- One year of customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably in a healthcare call center
- Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits and various insurance plans
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Strong proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
