Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time remote Contact Center Specialist will manage incoming calls related to patient medical bills, insurance inquiries, and payment arrangements while utilizing multiple internal systems to assist with billing needs.
Key responsibilities
- Answer and troubleshoot billing inquiries, explaining benefits coverage and course of action to callers
- Document, record, and close issues accurately while collaborating with internal departments on insurance denials and missing payments
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- One year of customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably in a healthcare call center
- Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits, various insurance plans, ICD-10, and CPT codes
- Strong skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
- Fluency in English with strong mathematical skills for billing calculations
