Job Summary

To support the Powerful Learning Team's efforts, the part-time Contract Content Area Specialist will ensure professional learning experiences are grounded in subject-matter accuracy and current instructional best practices while working remotely during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluating and aligning educational content and instructional strategies to national and state standards
• Collaborating with learning designers and facilitators to maintain content accuracy and academic rigor
• Integrating instructional technologies to enhance learning and student engagement

Required qualifications

• Deep pedagogical and content knowledge in core disciplines such as Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies
• Experience in technology integration for educational purposes
• Proficiency in relevant design tools and strong presentation skills
• Ability to showcase past design projects and demonstrate facilitation skills
• Commitment to the mission of Digital Promise and interest in redesigning learning systems for historically excluded groups
