Job Summary
To launch a claims career from home, the full-time Content Claims Specialist will act as a third-party intermediary between insurers' property adjusters and policyholders, handling valuations for total loss content claims and processing claims accurately using a web-based platform.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and pricing of contents based on valuation methodologies and submit completed claims reports to insurance adjusters
- Manage assigned claim files, ensuring consistent and quality turnaround of all claims in accordance with productivity standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and administrative tasks, including recording time spent on each claim file and effective communication with stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Secondary School diploma
- Prior background or experience in the property claims industry is considered an asset
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new technology
