Content Delivery Network Engineer
Job Summary
Serving as a subject matter expert, the remote Content Delivery Network Video Engineer will design, optimize, and deploy a large-scale terrestrial CDN for satellite video distribution, ensuring resiliency and efficiency in video delivery across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize a geographically distributed CDN to support primary satellite video distribution infrastructure
- Develop strategies for last-mile bandwidth optimization while minimizing operating costs and maintaining service levels
- Establish recovery mechanisms for packet loss detection and real-time video stream reconstruction across the network
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in large-scale video distribution and IP-based media transport networks
- Significant experience with distributed Content Delivery Network (CDN) environments and carrier-grade video delivery architectures
- Strong understanding of terrestrial IP networking, traffic management, and network optimization
- Experience with hybrid satellite-terrestrial video distribution systems and related infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
