Job Summary

Supporting publishing and research initiatives, the contract Content Editor will refine and polish written content for various projects remotely from July to December 2026, focusing on clarity, accuracy, and consistency with the organization's voice and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive copyediting and proofreading of longform reports, providing feedback on structure and flow
• Edit longform articles for grammar and readability, along with light editing of shortform factsheets for consistency
• Ensure all content aligns with the organization's voice and standards while maintaining the author's original tone

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience editing longform nonfiction, academic, or research-oriented content
• Strong command of grammar, style, and clarity
• Ability to preserve an author's voice while improving readability
• Familiarity with Sikh history, tradition, or related fields
• Familiarity with the organization's content and voice
