Content Licensing Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the Content Licensing Specialist will oversee the research and licensing of third-party assets for McGraw Hill products, ensuring compliance with rights management requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal expert on rights management, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and assessing risk across deliverables
• Lead the research, selection, and clearance of third-party assets, guiding external vendors through licensing negotiations
• Partner with authors and project teams to provide strategic guidance during content planning and execution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 3+ years of experience in project management and/or licensing
• Demonstrated experience with rights management of third-party content
• Strong understanding of plagiarism, fair use, copyright, and permission licensing
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage projects effectively
