Job Summary
Working remotely, the Content Licensing Specialist will oversee the research and licensing of third-party assets for McGraw Hill products, ensuring compliance with rights management requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the internal expert on rights management, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and assessing risk across deliverables
- Lead the research, selection, and clearance of third-party assets, guiding external vendors through licensing negotiations
- Partner with authors and project teams to provide strategic guidance during content planning and execution
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of experience in project management and/or licensing
- Demonstrated experience with rights management of third-party content
- Strong understanding of plagiarism, fair use, copyright, and permission licensing
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage projects effectively
