Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Homeland Security's web content management program, the remote full-time Content Manager will manage the research, development, and maintenance of accessible web content while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support the research, development, review, publication, testing, and maintenance of accessible web content and related application code
- Ensure web content updates are accurate, high quality, secure, and compliant with Section 508 and applicable accessibility standards
- Manage content updates across web and collaboration platforms such as Drupal
Required qualifications
- Experience writing for public-facing or federal websites, including researching, drafting, editing, and publishing content
- Strong experience with Drupal CMS and web publishing processes
- Knowledge of web best practices and Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Experience identifying and remediating web content quality issues
- Basic understanding of HTML and web coding languages, including CSS and JavaScript
