Contingent Workforce Program Manager

Job Summary

To support the growth of Instacart's contingent workforce, the full-time Contingent Workforce Program Manager will manage the implementation of a comprehensive governance framework and operational model, ensuring compliance and effective supplier management in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize a fully governed contingent workforce program, including standard operating procedures and accountability structures
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with Instacart's frameworks for rates and worker classification
• Collaborate with Legal and Accounting to refine policies that are audit-ready and facilitate organizational adoption of the new workforce model

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in program management, operations, or workforce management
• Experience managing vendor or supplier relationships in a staffing, MSP, or VMS context
• Strong skills in process development and designing operating models
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment across various departments
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, particularly at the executive level
