Contract Attorney

Job Summary

Working remotely as an independent contractor, the Contract Attorney will provide legal services to Rocket Lawyer members in their licensed jurisdictions, handling matters such as consultations, document review, and contract-related work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal services to clients through paid engagements, ensuring clear and defined service delivery
• Respond to customer inquiries via the Ask a Legal Pro service, providing brief written legal information
• Conduct 20-minute live consultations with clients scheduled through the Rocket Lawyer platform

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of practical experience in relevant legal areas
• An active license in at least 1 US state in good standing with the local state bar
• Professional liability insurance in accordance with the Terms of Service
• Comfort with technology and ability to utilize tools for enhancing customer experience
• Experience in areas such as landlord/tenant law, employment law, corporate law, or family law is preferred
