Contract Engineer - SDP

Job Summary

Supporting mechanical engineering activities for commercial nuclear power plants, the remote Contract Engineer - Design Changes / Standard Design Process (SDP) will develop engineering design change packages, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with engineering processes and industry standards on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engineering design change packages using the Standard Design Process (SDP) and plant-specific engineering procedures
• Support engineering evaluations and technical reports for U.S. commercial nuclear power uprates within Balance of Plant (BOP) systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues affecting operating nuclear power plants and support advanced reactor technologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in commercial nuclear power plants or other power generation facilities
• Experience developing engineering design change packages and supporting plant modifications
• Knowledge of engineering design processes, plant systems, and applicable engineering codes and standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
