Contract Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting network planning and capacity management initiatives, the Contract Planning Engineer will manage network elements across voice and data networks, monitor capacity utilization, and develop capacity relief plans in a fully remote, 6+ month contract role.

Key responsibilities

• Document existing and planned GPON and XGS-PON network activity, creating detailed network documentation
• Monitor network capacity utilization and forecast bandwidth growth trends while managing network elements
• Develop and implement capacity relief plans to support network expansion and resolve interoperability issues across platforms

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 4+ years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or Network Planning
• Experience in OSP, ISP, Access, or related telecommunications environments
• Ability to work independently with limited direction and guidance
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication with technical teams
