Contract QA Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the quality assurance process on a contract basis, the full-time remote QA Engineer will build and scale the QA function, implement automation, and ensure safe production delivery while collaborating with product engineers and prototypers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the QA strategy end-to-end, from triaging risk to implementing automation
• Design and implement a scalable QA process tailored for small, fast-moving teams
• Automate testing processes across the Django and NextJS stack, including integration, E2E, and regression testing

Required Qualifications

• Experience establishing QA functions or frameworks in early-stage teams
• Fluency in QA tooling and frameworks such as Playwright, Pytest, and Cypress
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, particularly GitHub Actions
• Ability to work across a full-stack environment, including backend APIs and front-end UIs
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers and product leads
