Contract Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Contracting Team, the full-time remote Contract Specialist will manage vendor negotiations, contract development, and implement contracting principles for purchasing equipment, supplies, and services in a complex supply chain environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to established purchasing policies and provide contract management support for awarded contracts
• Develop and maintain systems to measure progress and report on outcomes while managing supplier relationships
• Review and negotiate purchase requisitions, ensuring contract alignment and compliance with financial and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Associate Degree or a minimum of two years of experience in Supply Chain/Contract Management
• Five years of related work experience in Contract Administration, Vendor Management, or Purchasing, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of basic legal principles and commercial business terms
• Understanding of project management processes and systems to meet deadlines and achieve goals
