Contract Surety AVP

Job Summary

Responsible for the profitable growth and strategic management of a complex portfolio, the full-time remote Contract Surety AVP will oversee underwriting practices, drive business development initiatives, and foster relationships with agents, brokers, and clients to enhance market presence and portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze information to evaluate credit quality and risk acceptability using appropriate underwriting techniques
• Develop and manage a book of business, meeting profitability objectives while building strategic relationships within the assigned territory
• Continuously monitor assigned accounts for compliance and make recommendations for corrective actions as needed

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in the Surety industry with expertise in underwriting and portfolio management
• Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) designation preferred
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
