Job Summary
Seeking a theologically trained writer, the remote Contract Writer for Commentary on Gospels and Acts will collaborate with a team to research and write accessible, Christ-centered commentary, ensuring alignment with doctrinal commitments while addressing theological themes and interpretive questions.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with contributors under editorial and theological oversight to develop commentary content
- Research and write assigned portions of the Gospels and/or Acts, providing clear and structured commentary
- Revise material based on editorial and peer review, ensuring theological accuracy and accessibility for lay readers
Required qualifications
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or another advanced theology degree required
- Demonstrated competency in New Testament exegesis and working knowledge of Koine Greek
- A clearly articulated Christ-centered hermeneutic with familiarity in evangelical scholarship
- Experience in pastoral ministry, theological education, or substantive Bible teaching preferred
- Ability to write clearly for educated lay readers and collaborate within a multi-author theological project
