Contracts Associate Director

Job Summary

Leading the contracts function for the Center for Research Innovation, the full-time Associate Director of Contracts will draft, negotiate, and manage legal technology transfer and commercialization agreements, ensuring compliance and mitigating institutional risk while collaborating closely with faculty inventors and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and finalize various technology transfer and commercialization agreements, ensuring compliance with university policies
• Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to staff, optimizing contract management processes and enhancing service delivery
• Collaborate with the Commercialization Team to evaluate licensing arrangements and support technology evaluation and strategy development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of experience in technology licensing, contract negotiation, or commercialization
• Experience negotiating and drafting technology transfer and commercialization agreements
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property rights and contract terms
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive them to completion effectively
