Contracts Manager

Job Summary

Supporting the Contracts team, the full-time Associate Contracts Manager will draft and negotiate a high volume of author contracts and associated agreements, track publishing agreements, and maintain contract data in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate complex author contracts and supplemental documentation
• Advise internal teams on deal terms and agency boilerplate
• Maintain contract data and support special projects as needed

Required qualifications

• Approximately 4-7 years of experience in book publishing contracts (in-house or at a literary agency)
• Ability to manage a high volume of work with varying complexity
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with contract data management systems
• Knowledge of publishing agreements and industry practices
