Job Summary

A company is looking for a Controller to lead and scale its finance function across U.S. and Canadian entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with US GAAP and Canadian regulations
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, optimizing workflows and enhancing team performance

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Direct experience managing full-cycle accounting for multiple countries, specifically the U.S. and Canada
• Proven ability to balance tactical execution with strategic oversight
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with Canadian GAAP/IFRS is a plus
• Experience with finance technology and automation tools, such as ERP systems
