Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Controller, the full-time remote position will manage the company's accounting operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, overseeing financial reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scalable financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements and manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and tax compliance
• Supervise and mentor the internal Senior Accountant while fostering a culture of accuracy and collaboration
• Communicate financial performance and compliance status to the CEO and other stakeholders through monthly and quarterly reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership roles
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar systems, along with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
• Experience in the mortgage industry is a plus
