Controller

Job Summary

To support organizational decision-making and safeguard financial integrity, the full-time Controller will manage financial reporting, oversee accounting functions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, payables, payroll, and financial system controls, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Lead the preparation and filing of IRS Form 990 and annual audited financial statements
• Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and partner with department leaders to support financial decision-making and the efficient use of financial systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 12 or more years of related experience, with prior Controller experience preferred
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in a management-level role
• Working knowledge of GAAP and federal tax guidelines as they relate to not-for-profit organizations
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, specifically NetSuite, and advanced proficiency in Excel
