Job Summary

To support a growing mortgage lending platform, the full-time Controller will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while working remotely and partnering with executive leadership to enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Manage mortgage-specific accounting activities, including loan funding and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and investor requirements
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to support audit readiness and scalable growth

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in mortgage banking or financial services
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior experience in a leadership role such as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager
• Strong understanding of mortgage banking accounting, including financial statement preparation and audit support
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with strong Excel skills
