Controller

Job Summary

As the financial backbone of the organization, the remote full-time Controller will oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide strategic insights to the leadership team, all while managing a small accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close processes
• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and coordinate external audits and tax filings
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, providing financial insights that support business planning and investment decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 2-3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role
• Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience in Healthcare or SaaS is highly valued
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
