Job Summary

Leading the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing nonprofit, the remote Controller will manage the month-end close process, execute treasury operations, and ensure compliance while overseeing two direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process and oversee net asset and fund accounting, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
• Execute day-to-day treasury operations and partner with the VP of Finance on cash flow forecasting and banking relationships
• Oversee tax compliance and annual audit coordination, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA desirable
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred, including grant compliance and audit support
• Experience with multiple revenue streams, particularly in SaaS or edtech industries
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP system preferred
