Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Controller, the full-time remote position will manage the company's accounting operations, lead full-cycle accounting and tax functions, and ensure financial integrity while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting function, including general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting
• Manage all aspects of federal, state, and local tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings
• Design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and multi-state tax compliance
• Demonstrated experience managing the monthly close process and producing accurate financial statements
• Comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a remote, fast-paced start-up environment
