Controller for New Businesses

Job Summary

Serving as the dedicated accounting and finance leader for all new business lines, the full-time Controller for New Businesses will manage the end-to-end accounting function, including financial reporting and compliance, while working remotely to build scalable processes as each segment launches and grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full end-to-end accounting function for new business lines, from inception through maturity
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for operational and business analytics purposes
• Design and implement revenue recognition policies in compliance with ASC 606 and applicable accounting standards

Required qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
• Experience designing and implementing accounting frameworks for new or non-standard business models
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business segments effectively
• Collaborative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach to building trust with business leaders
• Proactive problem-solver, comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving processes
