Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Microgrid Controls Engineer will be responsible for the architecture, development, and implementation of advanced control systems for microgrids and large-scale electric power plants, serving as a technical authority and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for BESS and microgrid solutions, assisting internal teams and external clients
- Design BESS and microgrid solutions for won bids and coordinate the procurement of necessary equipment
- Guide system installation, commissioning, and maintenance while ensuring all software settings are correctly adjusted
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in microgrid, power, or industrial controls engineering
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (codesys preferred), SCADA systems, and industrial networking
- Strong understanding of power system behavior and grid interconnection concepts
- Ability to author clear control diagrams and interpret technical specifications and control drawings
