Job Summary
Independently performing programming and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled systems, the full-time Controls Technician will manage installations, modifications, and repairs in an industrial environment while collaborating with engineering teams and training junior technicians on rotating shifts from 6pm to 6am.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic using standard programming languages
- Integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, and actuators while supporting continuous reliability improvement initiatives
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide technical support to mechanical technicians as needed
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
- Demonstrated ability to modify and validate PLC ladder logic for operational reliability
- Experience with Ladder logic programming in Allen Bradley Logix/Studio 5000 Software
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP
- Experience in editing HMI applications in Factory Talk View Studio
