Conventional Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter Process Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite mortgage loan applications and evaluate loans to maximize profit and minimize risk
• Review and validate income, asset documentation, and AUS findings
• Issue underwriting decisions and manage notifications for clear to close

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in underwriting residential mortgage loans
• Familiarity with standard mortgage concepts and practices
• Working knowledge of mortgage loan origination applications, preferably BKFS application - Empower, MSP
• Excellent mathematical and statistical aptitude
