Conversation Designer

Job Summary

To redefine user engagement with AI assistants, the temporary remote Conversation Designer will shape intuitive conversational experiences across chat and voice platforms, focusing on user task definition, friction point identification, and collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the definition of critical user tasks by providing essential UX insights during early discovery phases
• Collaborate closely with Product teams to develop and implement recommendations that enhance task success and minimize user confusion
• Design comprehensive, end-to-end conversational experiences, including dialogue flows, prompts, and effective recovery behaviors

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in designing conversational experiences for AI assistants, chatbots, or voice-enabled products
• Exceptional writing skills combined with strong interaction design and systems-thinking capabilities
• Demonstrated experience in designing multi-turn dialogue and effective recovery patterns
• Ability to translate user insights directly into product direction beyond interface execution
• Extensive experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering
