Job Summary

To create user-centered conversational experiences for retail health customers, the temporary Senior Conversational AI Designer will design voice and text-based virtual assistants, collaborating with product teams and mentoring junior designers while working remotely in the Central Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build creative and user-centric conversational flows, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes for voice and chat applications
  • Produce rigorous user interface specifications, recording scripts, and maintain a comprehensive prompt catalogue
  • Collaborate with product teams, engineers, and clinical stakeholders to align design solutions with technical limitations and system requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Linguistics, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Digital Design, or a related field AND at least 1+ years of dedicated Conversational Design experience, or a High School Diploma/GED AND at least 4+ years of dedicated Conversational Design experience
  • Proven experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or Hybrid Designer specializing in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) application design
  • Deep working knowledge of speech and language technologies, including Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), Natural Language Understanding (NLU), and Voice User Interfaces (VUI)
  • Deep understanding of enterprise-level VUI design patterns and principles for large-scale conversational voice experiences
  • Hands-on experience developing voice personas based on demographics, contextual user research, and enterprise branding guidelines
