Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced in healthcare, the full-time remote Coordination of Benefits Specialist will investigate insurance coverage, determine the correct order of benefits, and ensure accurate claims processing while adhering to Medicare and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and determine the correct Coordination of Benefits (COB) for members with multiple health insurance plans
• Review insurance eligibility and documentation to verify the proper payer order
• Contact insurance carriers and healthcare providers to validate coverage information and resolve complex eligibility issues

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience involving Coordination of Benefits (COB) or 4+ years in related fields such as insurance verification or medical billing
• Working knowledge of COB guidelines and Medicare (CMS) regulations
• Strong investigative and research skills with a solid understanding of medical terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
