A company is looking for a Copy Editor to edit and proofread manuscripts for adult readers.

Key Responsibilities

• Copyedit manuscripts to ensure quality of grammar, spelling, and style
• Perform proofreading at all book stages to verify changes and corrections
• Create and update house style guides for authors and staff

Required Qualifications

• 3 years' experience as a copy editor in the adult non-fiction genre
• College-level understanding of literature, grammar, style, and spelling
• Ability to work with digital documents using Word and Adobe software
• Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style 18th edition
• Availability on weekdays during business hours
