Job Summary

A company is looking for a Core Component Stress Analysis Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform stress analysis for Natrium Core Assemblies using FEA and hand calculations
  • Present analysis results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Engineering and Project Teams on requirements and inputs
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of structural analysis experience; relevant M.S. and Doctorate degrees may be credited for up to two and four years of experience, respectively
  • Experience in using FEA for nonlinear analyses with emphasis on ANSYS or ABAQUS
  • Experience with design codes such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and API 579-1/ASME FFS-1
  • Previous experience in the nuclear industry, with an emphasis on core assemblies
