Core Network Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Core Network Engineer to provide network device maintenance and implementation for their service provider backbone and customer aggregation network.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle escalated trouble calls and work with Network Operations personnel to manage network issues
• Perform installation, integration, and provisioning of network equipment and services
• Coordinate with key network partners and participate in inter-departmental planning meetings for project completion

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with provisioning telecommunications network elements such as routers and switches
• Familiarity with BGP/OSPF and MPLS LDP/TE
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screening
