Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP Corporate Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a corporate governance framework for IPO readiness and manage legal workstreams for risk identification
• Act as lead legal counsel for M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments, managing the full deal lifecycle
• Partner with Finance and Tax for international expansion, managing corporate governance and compliance for global subsidiaries

Required Qualifications

• J.D. with 6+ years of experience at a Tier 1 law firm and in-house at a high-growth technology company
• Experience navigating the transition from private to public, ideally with involvement in an IPO or major exit
• Deep expertise in corporate law, SEC reporting, and equity plan management
• Experience managing multinational corporate structures and associated risks
• Ability to provide "business-first" legal advice and a strong inclination towards building functions from scratch
